The recently opened Children’s Adventure Garden in the Dallas Arboretum is one of Dallas’ newest attractions, but it is also one of the best. Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, this children’s garden is more like an outdoor science museum with a special focus on botany. There is so much more here than just plants, and it gives a wide overview of Life and Earth Sciences to children.
We had only planned a few hours at the garden before heading off to other adventures. The kids were having none of that. Once they arrived, they never wanted to leave. So we scratched our original plans and spent the day at the Children’s Adventure Garden. We didn’t even make it into the rest of the Dallas Arboretum! There was so much to do in the children’s area, we ran out of time before we could make it over!
I highly recommend spending the day exploring with your children at the Children’s Adventure Garden. Kids learn so much with hands on exhibits, and this garden is full of them. There is ample space and activities that encourage them to run and play, and then refocusing their attention on the fun learning activity the arrive at next.
Tip : Bring a lunch. We hadn’t planned to be here that long, and the kids weren’t very thrilled with the cafe food available.
Disclosure : We were guests of the Dallas Arboretum on this visit to the Children’s Garden.
